Pro-Choice Democrats

Pro in this case means for, supporting. I defy you to name one area of debate with the exception of abortion where the Democrats and liberals are actually pro-choice.

Take health care. If Hilary gets her way we will have no choice.

Take taxes. If a Democrat wins, tax cuts will be repealed. You no longer choose how to spend your money.

Take education. Since the Democrats are in bed with the NEA, school choice is going to be out, not to mention a potential for school vouchers.

How about the gay agenda? Will I be able to choose when my child learns that some people are gay? That it is wrong? Or will "Heather has two mommies" be the textbook for the next generation?

How about immigration? Will Americans get to decide who comes here? Will amnesty be the rule of the day?

I am pro-life. I am pro-choice. Let me choose how to live, spend, educate.

Don't be Stupid

From the moment your child is conceived, they are home schooled. You are teaching them how to sit up, crawl, walk and run. They are learning red, rough, and I love you. If you think you can't teach them what a Kindergartners needs to learn, you are WRONG. Don't let the world convince you that you can't teach your child, THAT would be stupid. Now I am not saying you should, or shouldn't, that is Your families decision. If you are smart enough to get to this blog, you are smart enough to teach your kid. Pray about it, think about it, don't listen to the naysayers.

You look Marvelous

Do you wear a Abercrombie and Fitch shirt, a Hollister tank top, or are you into Tommy and Polo? I hope not. While we could debate the topic of retailers and their impact on the family, it would be a bit redundant as it has been covered.

What I hope you will consider is why would you shop for ANY brand at all. Now I happen to like Nike shoes. They usually fit, they seem to last, they don't hurt my feet (and they look good). You could argue the same for your Tommy jeans and your A&F t-shirt. But are you buying and wearing them to fit a mold? Are you desiring to look cool or be in fashion? If you are worried about what you look like on the surface, look a little deeper. It is not what you are wearing that is the problem, it is what you are trying to cover up that is.

Where's Mamma Bear

Certain animals have an instinctive drive to protect their young. The theories vary as to why some animals care for their young and others don’t. Evolutionists believe that they are protecting their investment. Their investment may be time or it may be genes. After all when you are gone there is nothing left but your genes if you were “fit” enough to pass them on.
As a creationist, I explain it by saying God planned it that way. If you can Amen that then stick with me and see if your enthusiasm sticks with you.
There are many varying degrees of parental care in nature. Some animals provide food, shelter, and protection. Depending of the species and maturity at birth, there may be years of this parental care. Think about the mother bear. Most people know that you don’t mess with a cub unless you have a death wish. So where is mother bear?
Why have so many Christian parents abandoned their offspring? I am not talking about leaving them on the curb or out in the woods. I am talking about leaving them to the lions. 1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
From my vantage point it is almost like the tables have turned. If I were an evolutionist, I’d say we have reverted back to our beginnings. We protect our “investment” as if our kids are our genetic legacy. But I am not and they are not.
Psalms 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD. Our children are blessings from the almighty creator. They deserve some protection and the parents are responsible.
Recently I watched a news program titled “To Catch a Predator”. These predators scoured the Internet to find innocent and vulnerable children. Without going into detail these kids use the Internet to communicate with their friends. This open door is how 95% of sexual predators make their first contact with our kids.
Why would a parent allow their child unhindered access to this world? Unhindered access to music, television (and that includes commercials), movies, and the Internet, unhindered access to vulgarity, nudity, sexual content, violence. Are you really going to tell me that you don’t want to shelter them? Are you going to tell God that? Will you tell Him they had a right to privacy? A right to and Ipod, a cell phone? A right to choose …. where does it end?
As you can see I am full of questions. Why, Why, Why? I have a theory. Satan has done an exceptional job of trickery. He has convinced too many people to listen to the world. “Your kids have a right to privacy.” “You don’t want to shelter your children, do you?” “Oh, that movie is not that bad.” “That only happens to other people.”
We need some parents that will ignore the world and its ruler. We need to be like that mama bear. Our children are not ready for the real world. They don’t have the tools to defend themselves. We are not protecting our gene pool, we are protecting their eternal souls. Amen?

The Upside of Bias

I consider myself to be a relatively intelligent person, relative being the operative word. There are those whom I consider to be more intelligent than I, and those who fall in the less, category. At least that is my own personal judgment. Be it right or wrong, it is my judgment to make.
I also consider myself quite capable of discerning truth from time to time. Again, there are those who are better and those who are not as good.
The truth is there are those in the world today who have tried to convince us all that personal judgment is a bad thing. They have tried to demonize personal judgment. The have even used the Bible to try and convince us that personal judgment is forbidden.
They often call it bias. Since when is bias a four-letter word? Webster defines bias as “a personal and sometimes unreasoned judgment.” When you include the word sometimes in there, people just sort of flip out. They say “bias is an unreasoned judgment.” But, if sometimes the judgment is unreasoned, then it follows that sometimes it is actually reasoned. Yes folks, our personal judgments are OK when they are reasoned out.
The way I see it, there are times when we are unbiased and times when we are biased. First, to be unbiased you must know absolutely nothing about the subject for which you are making a judgment. Think about it, to be utterly and completely unbiased you either have to have no knowledge, experience, or feelings about a topic or you have chosen to totally ignore all prior information you have on the subject.
To judge when you go into the situation completely ignorant can work out fine assuming the person is presented the true facts and can reason all known information. But, let’s consider the person who ignores all previous information they have and they only judge based on the new details. Consider the following situation, you have to decide if you want your son to see a movie with his buddies. Your son has lied to you before and went with his girlfriend. The movie is rated R. To be totally unbiased and allow your child to go, you would have to ignore the fact that your child has lied and the fact that R-rated movies may contain some inappropriate material. This is not unbiased, it’s STUPID! You might call this person a Biblical fool, doing the wrong thing in spite of knowing the truth.
To sum this up, let’s consider the three situations where we are biased. First, you can be biased because you have extensive experience with the subject. If you have good information and Biblical truth, your biased judgment makes sense logically. The second situation would be if you have limited information, but are open to more information. This situation would be ok assuming you are getting accurate and Biblical information. This person is quite capable of making a reasoned judgment.
The final situation, as I see it, is when you have wrong information and are either unwilling to hear or don’t have access to the truth. This scenario will result in a negative outcome. This would be a case of unreasoned judgment. This person could be called foolish as well, but I would judge him as down right dangerous.
